Steppin' Out

Description

This is the beautiful line of knobs on Bolt Rock right of the arete. Committing, high-steppy moves up the slabby face lead to a high crux and a scary, less-than-positive topout. The arete is off for the V3, using it drops the grade to around V1 but the problem is almost as fun.

Location

On Bolt Rock, right of the Bolt Arete. Climbs up the face with obvious cool knobs.

Protection

A couple pads and a spot, it would not be fun to blow the topout and skid down this one.

A fun variation climbs the bottom then traverses into the finger crack to the right
