The crux is getting onto the wall by stepping left off a block. Nice T.R. if you got your rope already up.

This is on Left Wire's middle wall.

Top-rope. Now has bolts and its own anchor. I'm not the installer and don't know the bolt count yet? I will update info when I know.

Per Tane Owens: now it has its own anchors.

Per rob bauer: this route has now been bolted and appears to be basically the same as The Man on a Wire. Only the last 5 feet are different, since there is a new anchor.

Now has bolts and its own anchor. 5.9 at least and will be pretty a decent climb once the crumbles get knocked off.

Very cool. I'll update. Any chance you know the bolt count?

Hey Luke,
There seems to be a bit of a redundancy. Is Staff synonymous with Man on a Wire? If so, then it looks like it has 6 bolts and a 2 bolt anchor. Also, I should clarify that I am not the one who added the bolts. Not sure who did, but they're nice!

Tane, I developed this route and added the bolts a couple years ago. The Staff was never a route, just a crumbly face that was much harder than what someone called 5.7. Not sure how it got on MP as a route, haha. Before I cleaned it, the line was unclimbable pegmatite. It's called Man on a Wire, and I did the FA. Glad you are exploring it!

It was TR'ed a long time ago off the R.A. anchors by my buddy John M. the day he put it in. We left it unbolted. Not a new line so much as a newly equipped line by Kevin.
