Heading out to Zion in April for a primarily Mountain Bike driven trip. Want to do some climbing though and need some good beta. Solid 5.7 climber. Do i have any chance of finding something that moderate out there?

thanks

Nope. Go to Snow Canyon state park near St George instead.

For Zion the only thing in the 5.7 range is the Cave Route (as featured in the Eiger Sanction, dun dun dun). You can even hike around to the back of the cave to set up a TR.

You won't go wrong with Snow Canyon for moderates; try Leopard Skin for a 4 pitch classic. There is plenty of other climbing areas in St. George as well.

St. Georges would be a great place to go for moderates. Lots of 3-4 pitch moderate trad lines.

One of the mags just did a special article on EZ ridge climbs.
