| Eastern Swell Slab region San rafael Swell My son is stuck in wet sand and stranded as of 8pm thursday 10/26/2006. On the dirt road heading towards Three Finger Canyon.
If anyone is headed towards that area, he needs a tow. They are safe with sleeping bags and tent NOT AN EMERGENCY just a major inconvenience.
I expect to get there by mid morning friday. Bob | |

| Bob, let some of the air out of the tires. Should come right out then. saves you a tow truck. Its amazing how letting air out will help your traction. good Luck | |

| We were able to pull the car out with a truck and straps.
From the Interstate 70 Entrance getting to 3 Finger Canyon is difficult due to washed out road and impassable(for most 4WD vehicles) due to very wet sand about 4 miles in, just past the Nueva Mine road. We walked and/or biked to 3 Finger from the Nueva Mine area.Access to 3 Finger Cyn might be made from one of 2 roads accessed from rte 24 south of the Hanksville exit.
These conditions are as of sunday, 10/29 about mid day.
