Anybody know how the Virgin River is flowing? Thinking about crossing it to get the Moonlight area. thanks
jon, I have not been there recently but I have never had an issue crossing the river to moonlight this time of year. If anything bring an inflatable raft to float your pig across and then wade the rest. If you cross up stream from the bend at the Y in the river you should be ok. I have had good luck there. Just a little pre route finding is all :) Either way you'll be wet. That river has changed every year I have been there so the same sweet spot was not there every time I went back. You sort of have to do the fish for fun thing. If you plan on fixing anyways then its good to take half your load to hump loads and scout out your river cross then in sandals and what not. Leave the sandals go fix and then your back at home. Then you are all set for finding that sweet spot on the second tour. Plan B is always the raft :) Otherwise man just go for it. The climb is worth getting wet for :) What are you planning to do? Good luCk!

This should help with giving you an idea of water flows.
Thanks for the beta guys. Its definitely not impassable right not. We crossed it on Saturday en route to Moonlight Buttress and it was pretty easy even w/ a pig.
