i was thinking of climbing moonlight this weekend. i've been keeping an eye on weather and it has been dry enough. any body have some first hand knowledge on snow levels? we plan to hike in and out over the bridge, we are assuming the water may be to high to cross.

Goofin' on the Grand after soloing the Upper Exum with my wife.

I don't have any firsthand knowledge of recent conditions but based on past experiences, I highly doubt there's any snow right now. Before you make the long hike in from the bridge, just scope out the river level. You may be fine at the standard crossing. Have fun.

good times.<br />

Take a raft and padd that shizz :)
2 weeks ago the river looked ok to cross but higher then normal. Not sure how much melt has come and gone though.
I'd say its worth a drive to the bend to check out,.

If you cant cross it you can walk from Angels landing but it takes a while.

The river is fine right now. not warm enought yet for the runoff. I would opt for the hike around once the river gets to 125-150. have fun

Closest I've ever come to death while "climbing" was trying to cross the river at about 900-1000. Got swept away, I can't really swim, miraculously managed to make it to shore (went like 300 yards in ten seconds). It came down to 400 the next day and we crossed, but it was chest-deep and scary as well. Hiking around from Angel's Landing takes forever and can be sketchy if the river is way high.
