Guys and Gals,
My climbing partner and I are going back to Moab this year for two solid days. We want to do Ancient Art and Castleton Tower. We will be renting a car (probably economy) and wanted to know how the road access is and if the economy could get to the base of where we need to start hiking or not. Also the approach times to Castleton and Ancient Art would be helpful too. We are trying to pack alot into this side-trip from our main climbing trip in CO so any info would be appreciative.

Thanks,

You can get to either tower with any vehicle no problem - flat well graded dirt roads are the worst you will deal with. Hike in to Ancient Art is about 30-40 minutes, hike in to Castleton is an hour to an hour and a half. The Ancient Art hike is not very strenuous, but the hike up to Castleton is a grunt.

When you do Ancient Art, make sure to hike all the way out the trail to the Titan. It is maybe the most beautiful 2 mile trail on the planet.
