The Carolina Climbers Coalition has installed new rap anchors at the top of Gemini Crack and neighboring climbs. This was done to give relief to the tree that has been used for years as a rap station for Gemini, Second Coming and other routes.

Were not anchors installed in this area several years ago then subsequently removed by an offended climber?

I know for sure that an Athens (Ga.) climber removed some anchors off the top of the first pitch of Second Coming that were being used by the guide groups to hog the route. I seem to recall a faint memory of bad anchor placement being the reason for removal of the multi-route anchors.
