Mt Yonah access road - open to motorcycles?

I see in the Dixie cragger's atlas that the 2.5 mile access road up to Mt Yonah is closed to cars.

Anyone know if
1) motorcycles can fit past this gate
2) how motorcycles are viewed in this area?

Post climb snack...<br /><br />If you were wondering, the guy is Strappo (could be my long lost brother according to one of my climbing partners), a famous British climber and madman. <br /><br />The photo was taken in the Yosemite Lodge parking lot in 1982. Russ Walling took the photo. Strappo provided the bread.....

I am unsure of the "official" stance...but methinks it a bad idea.

The new Mt. Yonah approach is from a different location. I think that road is closed unless you live on that road or are a member of the Army and you are training up there.

The new approach is a very scenic stroll through the forest, past some nice boulders to the "lowers" area. Probably takes 45ish minutes...haven't been up there in a while.
