Until further notice, the access trail to Jamestown is closed. The Alabama Power Co., which leased the trail right-of-way to the Southeastern Climbers Coalition (owner of Jamestown), has declined to renew the lease.

This does NOT mean that Jamestown is closed to climbing. The alternate access to the crag involves rappelling in from where the powerlines cross the road. This also means jumarring out the same way at the end of the day.

The SCC is in discussions with APC regarding the future of the trail access; there are also plans for a new access trail from below the crag. In the meantime, do not use the upper trail, or you will be trespassing on APC land.
