Me with my dog, Luna.

Anyone interested in climbing either in NC or RRG anytime from June 30-July 14? Looking for a fun partner. Camping and climbing.

I might be down for that....got four days off. What Carolina destinations are you considering Amy?

highly considering Moores Wall since it is North facing (I think) and moderate. I have never been there.

Oh SNAP......ZOO VIEW!!! I hear ya!

I've never been either but that route is on my Lifetime hit list right in there with High E, and Supercrack.

North facing and moderate....yep, yep. I believe you are correct on both counts.

Did some investigating on Moore's Wall and it seems there is a Perigrine closure in affect till August. I'm not sure what routes are affected though. Maybe those little Falcons are hardmen, and Zoo View and such moderates as that don't fall under the closure, but it'll take a phonecall to the Hanging Rock State Park to know for certain.

The closure only covers the far North end of the cliff. Most of the cliff, including Zoo View is open for climbing. Enjoy

If you come up to Moore's or any place else in NC, I'd be happy to meet you there. Any chance you'd be interested in heading a bit farther north to the New in WV.

Dave....I still haven't nailed down plans to go for certain. Amy may be headed up regardless though.....she's around here somewhere and will probably post up a reply. Amy ??

I have plans to hit the New in October around Bridge Day.

I'll definitely keep ya in mind.

That's me too

I'll be in Boone area. As far as anything else to know for Moore's, it IS N. facing but will be pretty hot mid-summer. I would recommend Boone area for best summer time spot. Holler.

Paul and Sam. I would be super happy to climb where it is a bit cooler than others and requires cam or nut placements. Looks like Dave and I may be meeting to climb during the week of the 22nd. I can meet up with you Paul during the 4th wherever. Maybe Boone with Sam. ????
