I'm heading out from Tucson for about a week and looking for partners for my first few days there. I can head out as early as Saturday the 22nd but my partners won't be there until wednesday or thursday. If anyone else is looking for a partner during the first half of the week, please email me. I have a full rack.

bump...anyone? All the people that are supposed to be out there next week and no one's looking for an early-in-the-week partner? I really don't smell that bad...
Please don't make me go bouldering.

umm... where exactly are you going? might help you get partners. Also, what type of climbing are you looking for?

JTree, wherever there is available camping - Hidden Valley? Willing to lead moderate trad (up to .10) or harder sport (up to .12).

Topping out

If you need additional partners for the tail half of the week, I will be out there. I am in the same boat as you. I have a full single set rack and lead the same difficulty.

Beer Anyone?

If you're planning on showing up on Saturday you might consider having a back up plan to camping at Hidden Valley. The campgrounds have been full and Thanksgiving week is particularly crowded.

Free & legal camping found at....

or
http://www.climbersranch.com/

Good luck, have fun and be patient if you're looking to get on the classics.

And if you're looking for sport climbing consider taking a day trip to...

New Jack City
Holcomb Valley Pinnacles
Riverside Quarry

Oh yeah, both NJC and Holcomb have free and accessable camping too.

Thanks, Susan. Dunno if you remember me from Jack's a month or so ago...I *tried* helping on that route before I fell upside down and then JC took over and "walked" it.

I'm mostly looking for trad, so I'll do my best to stay in JT. I'll be offering bribery beer to anyone with space for a tent. I think I'm just gonna head out sunday and hope that some folks are heading out of the park from the weekend.
Thanks for the tips!

Dan -
There's a group coming over from Tucson on Wed/Thurs. I'm sure you're more than welcome to join us.

Oh yeah I remember "totally jacked" was Totally Jacked!

Have fun, perhaps we'll see ya out there. Sunday will give you a fighting chance at a spot and/or Monday. By Tuesday though I suspect all the campgrounds will be full.

Drive safe. Watch the speed camera coming in/out of Phoenix. The entire I-10 corridor is loaded with them all the way west of Buckeye and west of the 8 turn off. They are wayy out there past metro phoenix. So watch your speeds!
