| Several weekends ago friends and I made it to the Ghetto Wall by doing a lot of backpack tossing and swimming. Is there a dry way from where the path hits the big swimming hole to the Ghetto Wall? | FLAG |

| When you first walk up to the pond you want to traverse on the left that leads you to stumbling block. then pass stumbling block and make your way to the right. Stick to the right until you get to the 5.4 traverse. Keep traversing until you can cross back left to the wall. | FLAG |

| So, the first traverse is along the wall facing you as to approach the swimming hole? Where you'd have to rock hop across the marshy area at the downstream point of the swimming hole to get there? | FLAG |

| First obvious question: don't you have a guidebooks, because if you do (otherwise how would you know what to climb), you'd get the approach info.
If you don't, here's some more detail: walk past the Apes Wall, traverse to the first log. Cross the it, over the boulder to the next log. Go under the tunnel near the Stumbling Blocks, when you come out, you're going to stay to the right and traverse along the right (far) side of that little curved amphitheater where that last pond is. It's something on the order of 5.4. The water is typically really shallow in that last pool, so even if you had to wade it, it'd be mellow. | FLAG |

| fat dad - first obvious answer: the guidebook wasn't clear as to how to dryly access the ghetto wall, otherwise i wouldn't be asking the question.
i only understand your response up to "walk past the apes wall." where is this "first log"? | FLAG |

| Zach, Walk on the trail past Planet of the Apes wall twords the first swimming pool. Before arriving at the pool, angle to the left to cross the stream (it's pretty dry right now). Once on the other size of the stream, continue up the canyon until you reach a low angled pocketed face on the south side (left when heading into the canyon) of the swimming pool. Traverse across this face then continue up the canyon over a large boulder with a large tree to the right of it. Once on top of the boulder, Stumbling blocks is to the left. Continue up the canyon on the south (left) side of the creek by down climbing the large boulder. When possible cross the stream (right now it's really dry) and continue on the north (right) side of the creek until you arrive at the 5.4 traverse. Traverse around then cross the stream when you see the ghetto on the south side (left). Hope that works for you. | FLAG |
