Could anyone give me information on the aspect of Equinox. I have heard. I have heard north facing, east facing, south facing... any definitive answer? Thankyou!

Faces north. It's pretty much shady, but I have climbed it a few times in the winter months on non-windy days and it was reasonable.

I'd say it faces NW and catches sun in the afternoons. It tends to be windy there so it can be cold this time of year. Definitly not South facing!

Don't miss out on Elephant Walk, the 5.11d arete on the left edge of the formation. You'll want a 3.5" cam for the start.

The definitive answer: it faces North-northwest. The lower half of the climb barely gets sun in the afternoon during the middle of winter, the upper half is always shady this time of year. I suspect in the middle of summer the crack sees sun in the afternoon. It was a little windy when I climbed it (Dec 28th)and was probably 45 to 50 degrees. It was cold, but tolerable.
