Needs to be removed or transferred to someone who knows something about the climb as there is currently no info (and not even the complete name).

In the "Bear Canyon" section of Mount Lemmon Highway there are areas for "Queso Towers" and "Sandwich Spires". According to the way the guidebook has been laid out (not that should be the definitive reference) Sandwich Spire is amongst Queso Towers. It is also suplicated by another user already under Queso Towers. Some notes in the comments as to when this occurred.

There are some more out there. I wish I remembered where. One route I recall partially has the description "buy a guidebook". You gotta love it when people really put that effort into their route descriptions.

Luke, I renamed Queso Towers to Agave Spires Area and moved Sandwich Spire under it. The description for Sandwich Spire East Face mostly pertains to the West Face but still contains some useful information. Let me know if this seems like a reasonable solution. Hendrixson

John - Thanks for all the effort.

A while back I had tried to add a route description for Rain at Andy Cook Wall. Something didn't work, and there is a page for the route, but no info. When I tried to edit the route description it would;t let me have access to route/location info to edit anything. I had emailed an admin to see if I could edit, but no response. I clicked the Delete Route button, but it is still there. Could you delete it so it isn't a worthless, uninformative page?

Joe, Rain has been deleted. I've heard the route is amazing so it would be cool if you could post it up again.

Also if anyone wants to write a description for various subsections of The Dry let me know and I'll transfer ownership.

I would have offered to re-add the route description, but at this point it has been too long since I climbed it, and can't offer enough detail to make it a good route page. It is a really nice route though, go climb it! (and then add the route description for me...) Joe Kreidel

I made the following revisions:

  • 'Mount Lemmon (Catalina Highway)' from 'Mount Lemmon Highway (Catalina Highway)'
  • 'La Milagrosa Canyon' from 'Milagrosa Canyon (La Milagrosa)'
  • Fixed sorting and FA information for La Milagrosa Canyon. Also attempted to make naming conventions uniform.

Let me know if you object to any of the modifications.

I renamed 'Jailhouse Rock' to Prison Camp (Gordon Hirabayashi) Area and created sub-sections. Let me know if this enhances clarity. Also let me know if the descriptions and directions are clear. I am certainly willing to reassign area ownership. Hendrixson

I attempted to better organize the Hairpin Turn Area. Unfortunately I haven't climbed there in a number of years; and while ignorance has never stopped me, I could use assistance. If anyone wants ownership of this area let me know.

Actions taken so far:
  • Condensed Scorpion King into one route, deleting the first pitch breakout. Also downgraded the route from 11c to 10+ based on comments and ratings.
  • Condensed Meteor Shower into one route, deleting the first pitch breakout.
  • Limbomaniac Changed to mixed; added to protection field; added FA.

After two weeks of intermittent effort I have finished updating the Chessman Area. The walls have been broken into subsections. Descriptions and directions have been written. Let me know if corrections need to be made. Hendrixson

While it is in Northern Arizona, I sorted Jack's Canyon - Main Wall.

I also reassigned Poetry in Motion from Orphaned to Geir, who has since provided a great description.

Reassigned Hunchback Pinnacle after the discussion regarding the poor directions. Any other routes or areas that either lack information or are simply wrong?

Here is my list:

The description for Hunchback Pinnacle has been updated by Hubert Cumberdale with some meddling edits by me. Some now moot comments have been removed. Feel free to re-add your comment if you feel it is still relevant. My intention in removing the comments was not to stifle discussion. Hendrixson

Relocated Honeymooners from Tin Can Alley to Honeymooner's Wall.

Deleted "Ovarian Fortitude and Brass Nutz" at the Left Hand Wall upon request from the submitter. There was route confusion.

Modified Quickdraw McGraw. It is 1 pitch not 3.

Reassigned three routes at the Boneyard to myself, replaced the insufficient descriptions, removed no longer relevant comments, and added two beta photos.

The replaced descriptions were:

Bad To The Bone
Bad To The Bone - Old Description
Bad To The Bone - Old Description

Bone Ami
Bone Ami - Old Description
Bone Ami - Old Description

Buried Alive
Buried Alive - Old Description
Buried Alive - Old Description

I intended to make further updates to Bone Ami shortly.

In general I prefer to not edit existing content; however, in this case the contributions were so bad, no one else volunteered, and I spoke with a member of the FA party.

Good job John. I would have been glad to post these, but it's been so long since I did them that I don't remember much about the climbing. JoeS
