Description 

This area has five routes to date from the main buttress of Flight of the Bumblebee (13a) over to Primate Tools (11a). The two routes on the main buttress are long, awe-inspiring lines with great views of the canyon.


Getting There 

Once at the main trail walk about 3 minutes to the left, passing the obvious Iron Horse wall. Follow a faint trail from the left of the Iron Horse wall that meanders up the hillside to reach the big white and black streaked buttress.

Flight of the Bumblebee 5.13a  SD : Spearfish Canyon : ... : Pheromone Wall
Named after the swarm of bees that were attracted to my rope while equipping the route. This route climbs up the obvious white buttress. The climbing is technical, with big pulls off of small holds and a great crimper redpoint crux. After you finish the hard climbing you get a great rest, but you still have 30 more feet of 5.11.
