Description

The Buffalo Boulder is immediately to the East of "HydraCrack" and to the South of Mt. Baldy in the opening to the East of the large prominent spire. It's a relatively small boulder standing roughly twelve feet tall with a ramp on the Western side of the boulder with a deadfall leaning on this side.

Getting There

See South Mt. Baldy directions and the description above for finding this boulder.

"Wrestling the Buffalo" is a stellar problem on the northern side of this boulder working off of a nice sidepull with the right hand and a sloper on the left into a funky left foot sequence and a high reach with the right hand on the rib. The top out is pretty interesting, too. The landing would seem to be treacherous, but the fall is gentle and onto flat ground. A great problem....[more]
