Description

Pine Tree Rock is home to several moderate to hard, well-protected sport routes;(all L to R) Kiss My Aspen .10+, Evergreen .9, and Ate One Today .9+, on the N side. Summer School .10+ or .11(var), Bruiser .11-, and Emergency Snow Route .9, are on the SW side. All routes have rappel/lowering anchors on top.

Getting There

From the Chopping Block sign-in station, head left and slightly uphill on the well-traveled trail, which then heads (W) steeply up the hill. After a couple hundred feet, Pine Tree Rock will be on the left. Looking up on the N side, you will be able to see Kiss My Aspen, Evergreen, and Ate One Today. These routes require two-rope rappels. Continuing up and around to the left, you will see the other 3 routes. There is also a trail to Pine Tree Rock heading SE from Chopping Block and the Meat Counter.
