There are three main rock formations just north of Wrinkled Rock (the prominent steep rock next to the parking areas). Stinger is the center of the three. Although this rock is in the Rushmore area, which must be the most popular climbing area in state, it probably only sees a few ascents a year, if that. There is a very strange route on its west side.
Getting There
Take the trail that runs between Wrinkled Rock and Chopping Block to the uphill side. Then head right (north) and start counting rock formations. Walk past Wrinkled Rock, and then Razorback (a very thin formation). The next rock is Stinger. Look for for a piton in a horizontal on the west (uphill side).
