This storm was not that bad. We got washed off the wall the next day, though. Great place to climb. You guys should definitely stop there on your way out West.

Black Hills been on my mind since last there in '02. By the way, what is the condition of the fixed hardware (anchors, bolts, etc...) that you've experienced recently? Manky buttonheads? Updated, bolt replacements? What gives these days?

Bolts on the well traveled routes in the needles will usually be good, but expect some funkiness if you venture off the beaten path. Pretty much everything at Rushmore should be good.

Also -- expect some breathtaking run-outs. Stick to classics. They're superb.
