Description

A few fun climbs that are very easily accessed. Great for toproping.

Getting There

Located just South of South Colton, NY. Take Route 56 to East Hill Road and then turn right on Scovill Road. After about 3 miles, the road takes a sharp right turn toward a cell phone tower. It is possible to park on Scovil road or follow a rough dirt road to a grassy clearing to park closer. Follow an ATV trail downhill for a few minutes, taking a left onto a climbers path just after a small stream crossing. The cliffs will become visible as you reach the top of the hill.

Climb up a corner below the obvious roof. Move right below the roof and continue up the right-facing corner using one of two small cracks(the right one is easier) to access a ledge with a small tree and a fixed anchor. From there it is possible to step right and then scramble up a few moves to the top of the crag. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in NY
