We are headed to the Church Domes.

I have been climbing at that place for about 20 years now, have never seen anyone out there.

Lots of great climbing, it's sort of mixed sport and trad, with longer climbs that go to summits.

Maybe we will get good info on the long drive and post.

Have fun, be safe

Trying to figure that out as I type...

The Northeast's forecast was changed from SUN to almost all RAIN... contemplating doubling driving hours with the girl friend (who isn't really sold on that long a drive for the weekend) to go to West Virgina rather then NH - but going from 4 to 8 hrs of driving each way for 2.5 days is kinda rough! Thinking bolting some new routes in the rain and then gunks monday might be a good way to go too... any suggestions?

If all goes well I'll be at Smith Rock. I'm a little bit worried about crowds, hope I don't spend the whole weekend waiting for routes to free up (and I hope there's room in the bivy area for my tent!) Bill Shubert

I heard its going to rain all weekend at the NRG so I would stay away from that. Weather sounds awesome in the daks though. Brassmonkey

Alec, I think the moss cliff closure settled it for myself personally, but that weather up north is looking pretty unsettled. Brassmonkey

Black flies, rain, cliff closures... I suppose that's the Daks. NRG it is! I haven't been to either place before, though, so it's a win/win. Alec32

Those in the northeast should go to Mt. Washington. Winds should be under 150mph. You can do a little mountaineering or ski Tucks! rging
