BETA PHOTO: Real easy VB crack with perfect hand jams.
Description There are about 5 boulders here and the tallest is about 20 feet. Most of the problems are VB-V1 that can be done in hiking shoes, but I’m sure you could do some sit starts and find harder lines. The rock is volcanic and there are some loose rocks. This is not a climbing destination, but if you are hiking they are fun to stop at mess around on for a bit.
Getting There From the visitor center near the summit hike about 2 miles down the sliding sands trail until you get to the boulders. They are right at the intersection of the Sliding Sands Trail and the Ka Lu’u o ka ‘O’o crater trail (the first crater and first side trail).
