The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
The crack starts at fingertip width, and then widens. The entry move into the fingertip crack is probably the technical crux, but a steep hand traverse and offwidth exit moves are much more strenuous.
