Rather than parking at the Obed Lookout/ Lily Boulderfield parking area, does anyone know if it possible to park anywhere on Laz Hawn Road and hike in to Fort Sandstone. It is haul to go all the way to the far end of the Obed cliff line along the point trail. The Obed guide book shows a trail connecting Laz Hawn to the west side of the cliff. Anyone ever tried this route?
I think the access from Laz Hawn rd. is on private land. I had some friends that used to use that access drive all the way out to Tierany Roofs, but that was years ago and I don't know if they had a connection or they were just trespassing. I wouldn't risk it without written permission from the landowner. You don't want to get shot or get access limited.

Ah, good point. Don't want to risk access issues if the land is privately owned. I just can't help but wonder what that trail is for if it is included in the guide book.
Anyone know anything about the split in the trail that goes West along Point Trail when you reach the Obed cliff line? That trail certainly looked less traveled but I don't know if that would get me to Fort Sandstone any quicker.
