Shark's Fin Wall.

Description

1.3 miles west of the Beige Siphon Tube is a dirt pullout on the north side of the highway. Walk back east 50 feet to the gully, and head up and north for 100 feet to the base of the west-facing wall. This rock is the Shark's Fin Rock. On the left side of the Rock, an obvious sharp fin of rock juts out 25 feet up. Climb up and past it in to rotten rock with little protection. Traverse right to a two bolt anchor 60 feet up.

Protection

Sparse gear to 2 inches. poor gear after 30 feet, a fall up there would suck.

Center crack runnin' it out. The route seems more fun if one goes left at the bulge, the hand size crack in the bulge can take good gear.

This route I found 2 years ago without any books. And sent it. Thanks Allen, never noticed its posting, but it is runout and fun exposed. I used to set up a tyrolean line acrossed this gully, good memories.
