Hey climbers and alpinists of MP, I am a climber and aspiring alpinist in search of some solid mentorship! I am aiming to learn alpine style trad and am just looking for someone to show me the ropes. Winter (still learning ice) and summer are both okay for season style, one of my goals for this summer is to climb some of the granite peaks in the cirque of towers in the winds. I currently lead sport to 5.10c/d, and am a fast, safe, and attentive learner. Will buy beer and help with gas!

You should check over at cascade climbers. Lots more NW Alpinists congregate on those forums. Mp is mostly Colorado and Utah with a little east coast and west coast thrown in.

Hmmm.... Same goals, same dilemma. I'm totally looking for a partner to learn with. I have a solid enough base in trad and have mostly followed but been on some good sized routes, was putting in 25mi days on trail and getting solo scrambles until the the end of summer. If you're into working your way up with someone I'm totally down to start small and work up. I've been wanting to get into the Winds for a couple years as well but hadn't been in shape enough to make it worthwhile until recently. Let's go trad in Leavenworth sometime when it warms up a bit!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
