My family and I are new to rock climbing. We live in the Escondido area and are looking for more climbing areas. We currently have gone out to Dixon Lake a few times. She really enjoys the Chimney (5.3) mainly because there are plenty of spaces for her hands/feet. I have gotten her on the Y-Crack a little but its a bit to hard for her right now. Does anyone know of any other climbs in the SD area that might be suitable? It doesn't actually have to be a listed climb either just something where I can put up a top rope to keep her safe. I was thinking about checking out the following routes.

The Blocks (5.4)
The Trauma (5.6)
The Ramp (5.7)
Beautiful (5.4)
Cake Walk (5.3)
Baby Dihedral (5.5)
Free Solo (5.5)

Any thoughts on the above listed routes? Or any thoughts on any other areas/places?

Thanks in advance.

I would not recommend the trauma or the ramp. You would be better off climbing the stairs or beautiful at the gorge, the ramp would be too difficult if the Y crack is and the trauma is a tricky to protect, un aesthetic climb. However you can top rope both the stairs and the ramp off the same anchors so you could always give it a try, its a fun one. Other fun easy gorge climbs would include the turkey shoot, an instance classic for beginners and an easy top rope set up with no leading necessary. Santee also has a fun top rope at the dog pile with an easy approach.
