The Scooter Trash Wall is on the west side of the same rock as The Training Ground. Tod Anderson calls this rock The Saddlehorn in "Rampart Range Rocks". The cliff faces west so it is shady in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. The routes here are short but are quality lines on well featured rock.

Getting There

Follow the directions to The Training Ground, but once you are on the level ground at the pass, head to the right towards the west side of the rock (The Training ground is to your left). Stay close to the rock and descend into a corridor/chimney where you will find the routes.

This is a great climb that requires both strength and technique. Climb vertical rock past two bolts to a stance below the roof. Clip another bolt here and use whatever strength you have to pull over. This is the crux. The face above is where the technique is involved as you climb sequential technical moves to the anchor....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
