verticalbound posted with several items for sale, including quickdraws and a mastercam. I paid for the items before leaving for CA, but when I returned, no gear has arrived and the seller is now unresponsive. The account shows "Last Visit: Jan 18, 2013", which is obviously not true as there have been many posts since then - but I'm not sure how the forum tracks visits.

I hope you get your stuff.

It is interesting and disappointing that MP shows the "Last Visit" as January when it was obviously in June.

"Well circumstances mean leaving Joshua tree and heading to dodge city :/ so it would seem cedar bluffs is the closest potential for climbing. Looks promising though definitely already planning being there as much as possible this summer. Anyone near dodge with the same idea maybe we could car pool! All about new development!"

Maybe you need to drive to Dodge.

He sprays about his panhandling and all kinds of other shadiness under the same username and phone # on ST. Several users call him out for being a troll. Read what T Hocking has to say on this page supertopo.com/climbing/thre…

Lots of hard luck stories, selling gear, etc. Sounds kinda scammy.

If you log in on your smarty smart phone and never log off there is no "tracking" from what I've observed.
Only when you log from a land line, (Edit) or post something.
I'm sending this now from my phone. The last time I logged on was last night on the computer.
I check in now and then at work to keep up with the day's events cuz this site is better than a soap opera!
I remember seeing his post, I hope you get some retribution.

Yeah file a dispute through PayPal. It takes a while so better to do it now rather then later. Unless you paid "gift" style, then you're screwed. Track this guy down.

What a bummer Woody - Did you try giving Andrew a call: 360.269.6022

  • I'd try to rescind the CC payment and forget this guy - seems like he's the "Woe-is-me" type that's always in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
