| I have not been to sandrock since last summer and remember a lot of development going on around the crag. Has anyone camped there recently? is camping still allowed? | FLAG |

| What kind of development? Like county parks doing stuff inside sandrock, or residential housing stuff lower on the mtn along the road or what? Haven't been there in many years, but it was the very first place I went rock climbing and holds a special place in my heart...grafitti, rednecks, blue laws, and all. | FLAG |

| HOLY SHIT and WTF! Thanks for taking the pics. Unreal. Was there no public comment period or did the county just take it upon themselves to do whatever they wanted? | FLAG |

| I don't believe it's progress for anyone, when they clear wilderness for commercial purposes. I don'rt agree with it, but My opinion is just that, my opinion. | FLAG |

| I was at Sandrock a month or so ago and it is quite different from the pictures posted. There are cement poles blocking off all the campsites, so you cannot drive your car into them. No big deal, they are just ugly. There is a little ranger house? or something of that nature on the way in and they are making fast progress on it. The condition of Sandrock was the worst I have seen it. People camping where they shouldn't be, starting fires under rocks, and throwing trash everywhere. Maybe with the addition of the rv park, the area will be patrolled by a ranger of some kind and it will deter rednecks from doing drugs and throwing used syringes into the cracks. | FLAG |

| Well the county took it over and are supposed to have a patrol come through. They don't much. Some groups believe in the "Party Scene" so if you think that is ok, then don't worry about the condition. Two wrong's don't make a right. If you really want to conserve, don't allow our trees to be knocked down and all this commercialization of a wilderness area. That isn't the answer. The problem is the individual not taking a stand and putting a stop to the destruction of their area, allowing people to do whatever they want and turning a blind eye to it all and then whining and crying out loud, wanting everyone else to do something. It's your's, take a stand. With Sand Rock, it is too late. What about the rest of the wilderness area's? Just my opinion, that is all this is, my opinion. | FLAG |

| It's going to be interesting to watch this unfold. Success or failure could determine the development of other natural areas. The County is investing alot of money into this project and may take awhile if ever to see a return. | FLAG |
