Quite a bit of "may have been used by" or "could have been used on" to make it seem more special than it really is. How rare are these actually?

not 5 grand rare, jesus, for that much money you could go out and create some legends of your own.

once you get it than what? you don't even have a semi cool story of bootying it off some obscure valley climb, just the fact you're a stupid fuck with way too much money.

I can't get over the 12 dollars for shipping. You sell a piece of booty you pick up in a garage sale and sell it for 5000 dollars (not likely) and you can't throw in free shipping.

Zero bids. No shit.

You could do so much with 5K..buy a car, pay off bills, travel abroad.

Who would want to trade that for an old piton?

!! I've got an old rack full of rusty pins with 'history', so I'm headed for ebay and can soon pay off my mortgage in full with the big bucks to come rolling in. !! I'll lower my opening bid to only $2,000 though, just to be fair.

I"ve got an old rusty pin that I"ll claim Royal Robbins used to pry open sardine cans while up on Half Dome. Bids start at 3,000.

Just under 3 days left for that bargain item on ebay. Who from MP is gonna go for it? Whoever does, I"m asking them for a cash loan that they obviously can spare.

I'm surprised no one has "asked the seller a question" yet.

So many possibilities...

i think ill ask if he has a tube of that glue hes been sniffing to go along with it......

This piton may well have been used on

The CW stamped under the diamond P is quite likely the initials of

who may have been a onetime owner

yeah......and he may have sniffed too much of that glue.....

Why don't you just ask it right here, the OP is the seller.

It's funny how he clips the convo from those threads and adds it to his sale for "authenticity".

I like how in the other thread he posted in the FS section he slyly justifies the $12 in shipping with this:

mikebrooks3322 wrote:Yeah but anybody who can drop 5000 wouldn't care about 12 bucks

Hello,

I will buy your piton for five thousand dollars(5000.00). I will be sending the money in a certified check and I will include a extra 50 for shipping and handling as I will be sending a crew to pick it up personally.
