One easier variation is to start off to the right ...

Description

This climbs the overhanging dihedral-like boulder below the huge roof of the El Parasol project. Start right hand on the big undercling/pinch, and left hand on a crimp just up and left. Make a hard move up right to a jug and follow good holds to top out.

Location

From the parking area, walk all the way down the hill to a bench at the end of the gravel trail. Walk straight up the hill behind the bench to the problem.

The hard move.
The hard move.
Start. We assumed the detached block on the right under the boulder was off. Steve climbing.

Cool holds and moves heading up. Great find, Tony.

Fun little problem with a number of variations on it. Very atypical holds for DL and a nice warmup. I think CE has pictures.

Tony I assume you did this the day you found it. If so, just put yourself as the FA. If someone else has done it or knows of a prior ascent, they can post up. Nice find.
