| Hey, that's Apron Strings. On my to-do list. And those things look crazy lame. Can't handle a hand jam, seriously? OK Buttercup. | FLAG |

| Either (HandJammies or tape) are like having only one nut, and that one nut is shaved. Fun oddity for the ladies, sorta neat for flashing your bro's in bars, but definitely not something a man would do long term. | FLAG |

| Jay Willis wrote: Rubber gloves certainly don't look as cool as tapeing up, but that's not the point. It's not that tape doesn't work or that these make jamming easier. The reason people buy these gloves is so that they don't have to go through endless rolls of tape. Also useful if just doing a single pitch of jamming. I think the reason people buy these is they don't know better... Endless rolls of tape? I reuse my tape gloves, they last me many pitches (about 6 months?) and I can throw them on for single pitches without taping the wrists if I just want them for one pitch. | FLAG |

| Agreed, looks like Ocuns. I've climbed cracks without tape, with tape, with hand jammiesŪ and with the Ocuns. As far as crack gloves go, the Ocuns are my favorite. Low profile and the closest thing to taping up but much faster and, in the long run, likely cheaper than all the rolls of tape one might go through in their life.

I "know better" and still will use crack gloves from time to time. (As well as reuse my tape gloves for many sessions.) Tape up or use crack gloves. Effectually the two options are identical--reduce skin loss and reduce discomfort. | FLAG |

| I had a pair of Hand Jammies and the rubber shredded on them on the fifth or sixth use. Completely ripped away from the suede like it was paper. I'm a tape guy now. Anyone else ever had this happen? Seems like a good idea in theory considering how much tape costs, but my only experience was a negative one and I was left feeling like I got ripped off for 30 bucks. Are there notable differences between these different products? | FLAG |
