Hello all,
We have recently begun a campaign to reduce the over use of mank fixed gear and provide some ethical guidelines regarding its use in the RRG.

We are hoping to increase community awareness and involvement on how to address the ever growing issue of bad fixed gear.

Good initiative.
During our last trip this past Oct, my partner and I replaced five aluminum biners (with more Al unfortunately) at Bob Marley alone.

I will see if we can get something similar started at Rumney. There was a close call last year which could have resulted in fatality (the rope was almost severed when the climber took a fall 70 feet off the deck onto a sharp fixed biner).
