Description

Fun long moderate that stays interesting to the anchors. Where Cold Fusion moves left off of the slab this route continues up right on easy broken rock for a couple of moves until possible to follow weakness up to a blunt short arete.

A completely independent line is just right of CF but is 5.11 and is a little run out on the easy slab. This EFR direct start avoids using any holds, bolts or anything else that has anything at all to do with CF.
But, if you want a nice moderate start on CF.

Location

Same as Cold Fusion.

Protection

Bolts

Nice long warmup with a fun finish.
I thought the 5.11 start was fun too, a little harder to read the moves than it is to climb it.

This route is awesome now but will only get better with time. And more people climbing it.

I haven't climbed this route in a year or two but my records show 13 bolts to chains; no midpoint anchor. Perhaps you climbed a different route? See the topos here.

No midway chains and no pump to fight on this one.
