If you go pretty much straight up over all of the bolts to the anchor, it is a 5.10 climb. At the large roof halfway up the route, you can move to the right avoiding the roof making the grade easier.

In climbing this route recently, I think it's becoming easier than 5.10. When we first climbed and bolted it on lead in 2003, we went right over the roof in the middle of the route. Funny story and reason for the name, as my buddy, B. Murray took an impressive whipper when his hook placement popped while drilling the crux bolt. Point is though, after climbing this again in recent years, I think the way of avoiding this crux is becoming more and more worn-in, and most folks find this as the way to go. So I'm calling it 5.9 now given this variation and think the rating should reflect the easy line of passage.
