Description

Roca Gorda is the large, obvious boulder in the middle of the clearing at the end of the dirt road. It is the meeting place of most of the climbers and is often flanked by cars.

The boulder itself represents two of the 3 types of climbing common in this area: large juggy features and thin friction problems. Interesting cracks can be found at Valcorchero as well (see Cueva area).

Getting There

Keep right at the two forks in the dirt road after pulling off the highway. The dirt road will end at Roca Gorda.
