road trip up the PCH bouldering/short solos??

Mt. Whitney

i'll be traveling with my parents up the PCH over the next few days.(it'll be a very Griswald vacation) Stopping in Pismo and other various places along the coast. Looking for some fun beach bouldering/hi balls/solos between santa barbara and san fran, along the PCH. Big Sur looks like it has some promise.

i am aware of the tide situtaion. other than that, just looking for some tips...

bear creek spire

there's some fun but somewhat crumbly rock near the bixby creek bridge just south of carmel on the PCH. there's a handful of ~30 ft. routes and tons of boulders. i used to play down there a lot. up north in marin county, check out mickey's beach

I like bouldering at Granite Creek Canyon north of Big Sur.
