Davis seconding the FA of Minor Travers

Description

Located in South Royalton right on Vermont route 14, Riverside Walls offers a handful of mixed sport/trad climbs, with bolted anchors for top roping. Climbs are all pretty much slab, and range from around 5.6 to 5.10d. About half a dozen boulder problems are there, too. These also range on the easier to moderate side. The vast majority of information here was taken from the CRAG-VT forums here

Minor Traverse 5.9  VT : Riverside Walls : Trad Wall
Start as for Fluffiest Bunny. Once on the MT (Minor Traverse) Ledge, traverse left along the ledge and into the large muddy cove capped by the namesake roof of Roofy Business. At the left end of the cove, just before it goes from head height to knee height, climb up through the roof and onto a narrow in cut ledge (crux). Follow this ledge left until it crosses Beginners Slab then follow this line to the top. This fun mixed line has a few bolts and takes reasonable trad gear. The 5.6 lead up...[more]   Browse More Classics in VT

CONDITION REPORT

A friend climbed Shiester on the Sport Wall yesterday. After cleaning the anchor and setting up the rappel, one of the bolts popped out.

Be careful and use good judgment when trusting the bolts here - or set natural anchors.
