Description

This is a pretty low trafficked area since it is so far from the main parking lot, but is full of great routes and good views of the Columbia River.

Getting There

If you park in the main parking lot this is a pretty far hike, but if you park on the side of Old Vantage Highway then it's the second wall you get to and is right after Sunset Wall.

Micah, or Jon, if you see this I just noticed that this Riverview Point W and Riverview Point E are two separate areas- could be one with sub heading West/East.

Thanks a lot Geoff.

I made your suggested change, but I do not have a description or instructions for getting to one versus the other. Can you add these details? You can post here, or use the "Improve this page" button.

Jon,
I see you made it to Middle east wall last year and got on some of the better routes at Vantage.
Vantage is such a mess, with the help of you and Micah we made some improvements. What everyone needs is Yoder's book, or someone willing to spend the time adding maps, topo's etc to this site. Micah did add a how to find the lower west cliffs that I edited on the Millennium Wall.
From L-R the lower west end walls are:
1) Sunset park, small area
2) Riverview Point
3) Clearview Crag
4) Riverview Park ( unfortunate name, confusing with riverview point)
5) Corn Wall
6) Millennium Wall
7) Hen House
Best approach is from west end of the Mesa, small parking area 1/2 mile down road headed west toward river from the main camping and parking lot. Dirt road leads into Echo Basin, find faint trail that leads up west end toe of mesa on the left, Make a right when reaching cliff face, you will find Riverview Point here.

Thanks Geoff.

The left side of Middle East Wall has such beautiful yellow rock, and the routes have some great stemming moves. So far, it's my favorite spot at Vantage.

I'll have to get a copy of the Yoder book.
