Description Suggest change

The "Right Wing" is located on the right side of the Main Wall. This section of cliff offers 1-3 pitch climbs and is broken by an obvious tree ledge at half height "The Halfway Tree Ledge". Many of the routes start from the halfway tree ledge.

The Right Wing, much like the Main Wall, offers various styles of climbing. While no fixed protection was found on any of the climbs I would think that the wall had been explored prior to it's development by The Chinos Mountain Club in 2012.

Getting There Suggest change

The Right Wing can be accessed numerous ways.

As of now there is one full length route. From the base of the main slab walk right and uphill to a small alcove. Climb the first pitch of White Wonder to access the halfway tree ledge.

Option 2 is to follow the directions for the East Buttress. When at the base of the East Buttress continue walking left through the trees and talus towards the main wall. This will bring you out onto the halfway tree ledge.

Option 3 would be to rap in from the top, especially if you have "topped out" after a climb on the Main Slab.  From the tree rap station at the top of the Main Slab, walk climber's right about 100-150 ft to the pine tree at the top of "Right Wing". [NOTE- On 28AUG21 this rap station was found with the rap anchor either cut, or "chewed" with the ring laying on the tree. (photo) The rap has since been replaced (photo) R Hall NH Admin. ]  You’ll want double 60m‘s or two raps with a single 70m [A new dbl bolt anchor (photo) replaced the ancient tree anchor 35m down from the top tree]  to the mid-tree/"Half-Way" ledge.

Option 4 : Get yourself up one pitch to the double bolt anchor shared by "Go West", "Trail of Tears" and "White Riot"; Then…Next Pitch- Move up the slightly vegetated open-book/corner to the right of the crack of P2's "Trail of Tears", [Photo] at its top, step/move right and over slab to trees, passing (or belaying at) the Tree anchor at the top of "White Riot". 5.3-5.5 PG-13/R

"P2" About 1/3 rope length of "Class 3.9" high-angle leaves, slabby boulders and talus gets you to the "Half Way Ledge".
