My partner and I retrieved a piece of stuck gear atop Birch Tree Crack this evening (8/24/16). If you can identify it, I'll gladly return it! Just reply here or message me, thanks!

Wasn't mine, but was it the stuck #1 C4? In that case, nice job! Sucker was over cammed like somebody hung a truck on it!

We found it last night. It was on the top where someone might build an anchor.

Karma for me has about broken even over the years. : Lose a chock,,,find a medium hexcentric next week. Drop a cam, find and unstick a similar cam next season. It's all in the gear swap, free 'schwaag' part of the game. Nice these days though, to be able to find someone via MP and other sites to actually locate and get stuff returned. Too bad we don't have a climber friendly 'dump spot' at DL like those who leave 'found' gear at pavilion at Muir or at Miguels for people to relocate it fast. Much different philosophy and climber lifestyle between the Red and DL, that's for sure.

Define "stuck". I had to go to trick #2 for removing this particular type of gear.

Is trick #2 threading the nut wire through and pulling on the loop from the other end? ...because omg has that saved me from having to leave gear. Incidentally, almost lost a big nut on the Brinton's anchor last week but was saved by doing this.

Sorry (post-haste) for posting the wrong climb, I managed to confuse routes. No ones claimed it yet, but perhaps posting the correct route will help!
