Does anyone have any feedback on REI's Introduction to Outdoor Rock Climbing class at Carderock, MD? I've been climbing indoors for about a year now and got pretty much the indoor basics covered, but want to transition to outdoor climbing.

Anybody done this course? Or any other suggestions for other climbing schools in the DC area? Thanks in advance.

I haven't taken this course, but I did take some other outdoor courses and I can recommend very very highly the courses taught at Earthtreks. IIRC, they have a gym2crag course that would fit the bill.

Their lead outdoor instructors are all real mountaineers, and, if nothing else have some great stories.
