Excellent, go see it.

1st Film Fitzroy traverse with Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold.
Funny, engaging film, couple of truly likable characters. A little more exploration of the dark side of risk than has been typical of Reel Rock the last couple of years. And what a beautiful place.

2nd- Tribute to Dean Potter. I didn't know Dean, so can't comment on accuracy, but seemed like a nicely done homage to his best qualities.

Intermission- finally dropped the handstand contest! Wahoo!!!!

3rd- Highball with Daniel Woods reveals a vulnerable side of a superb climber in a way that rarely is shown on videos. Maybe climbing can make you a better person.
There is a subtext that going hard AND high is the right way to move bouldering forward, and this motivation bothers me. Risk your life for something you really want to climb, OK, but just to "advance climbing"? Seems dubious.

4th Horsetooth Hell- All Honnold all the time? Two good ol' boys vs the star of 60 Minutes. Funny and deeply offbeat.

5th- preview of next year's Dawn Wall feature. More Tommy! Hard to generate suspense amongst a climbing crowd all of whom are well aware of the Dawn Wall climb. Looks like great cinematography. Contender for a breakout hit with the general public.

tldr- go see it!

Loved it. Chautauqua Theater is such an amazing setting as well. My fave was definitely the first film with Alex and Tommy.

Excellent summaries by the OP.

I saw the film(s) last night, in North Conway. Fun stuff. Several moments were transcendent.

The Fitz Roy movie is first .... And for me the best of the lot. You will be unexpectedly taken in by the story, the magnitude of the accomplishment, the humor..... It's awesome, period.

I liked the highball bouldering movie. The footage of Daniel Woods at Bishop is unbelievable.

The 24 hour climbing party was pretty funny. I liked it.

Highly recommend going to see Reel Rock!!!!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
