| Hey, im planning to go to RRG next March (23-31) im flying from Mexico to Chicago spend a day there and then drive to RRG. I have a few questions: Is it an easy drive? how many hours? How is the weather in that time of the year? Where is the best place to meet partners and where to camp? Any other suggestions are welcome. Cheers | FLAG |

| Do you mean March 2013? The only question I know of is you can meet partners and camp at Miguel's. It is the epicenter of climbing culture there. I have never been to the Red, but I do know that! Speaking of never going to the Red, I was planning to visit around the same time frame. If you want/need a partner, email me and we might be able to work something out! | FLAG |

| James, Depending on time of day, traffic, etc, figure 6.5-7.5 hour drive to the Red. Its pretty easy, just long. Since this is your first time there, plan on camping at Miguels, at least for a night or two--'epicenter' is a good term for it. If you need more peace & quiet, then you can go to Land of the Arches or Lago Linda's after a couple of nights. Weather that time of year can be glorious. Unfortunately, it can also be rainy, and it will almost certainly be a gumby-fest, as many people (myself included) will be there because it is Spring break. Have fun & good luck! | FLAG |

| If you are driving straight from O'Hare airport, you will definately need 8 hours to make the drive. Long expressway all the way until last 2 miles. Fly into Cincinatti if you can insead. Do stay at Miguels, they should be reopened for the season by then. I can be pretty cold, almost winter temps at night that early in year. It's possible that the Red River Reunion event being held at Miguels, just might be around that same weekend...I don't know the date yet. Camping waay out back behind the store will give you the quiet you may seek for camping. | FLAG |

| Midway will put you at least an hour closer for your drive. Just get outa there south down Cicero and onto the tollway headed east toward Indiana and grab 65 south toward Indy from there. At least your luggage is quick and ready to go from Midway instead of the long wait and delayed flights at O'Hare. Best little airport in the Midwest. | FLAG |

| Hey Woodchuck: You seem to know Midway well. I'm flying out of there to Denver in Feb. for the first time... is there any decently cheap long term parking with easy access to the airport? | FLAG |
