Climbing Abraham's Arete.

Description

Located on the Atlantic Side of Rainbow Bay, there's A LOT of cliff line that needs to be discovered, cleaned, and climbed.

This area would be wonderful deep water soloing if folks were willing to climb up and get rid of the loose rock.

Getting There

If you're headed from Governor's Harbour (the island's biggest town) head north to Rainbow Bay. From there, you're looking for a dirt road on the right. Turn there and head about 3/4 of a mile down the dirt road. Once you're parked you can either hike down or the more fun way of jumping off the cliff and climbing back up. The water is plenty deep.

This isn't actually a top rope climb, but there is no deep water solo option here. Jump off the northeast facing arete and climb back up. Getting out of the water is the hardest part. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
