Quick Mount Hangboard for Climbing Wall

Just throwing this out there. Needed a hang board set up so I built this to attach to my wall quickly. Two 3/8 eye bolts, two right angle brackets with one side cut short and one hole opened up to 3/8", 2'6" of 2x8, 2 bolt hangers and four bolts for the wall. It's quick, simple, and cost less than $15 (had to buy a whole 8' 2x8).

Hang the board via hooks (pre drill the holes for these) and line up lower bolts. Simple, solid.

Not bad. I'm curious what the hooks are rated for. I bet the bolts on the right angle brackets could he removed, too, making for faster setup and takedown of the hang board. If it swings you could put on slightly longer 2x4's.

The hooks are rated at about 250 a piece. It does swing out without the brackets, I didn't want to deal with a swinging hang board, but honestly I didn't try our without it. It's rock solid
