Queenstown is found on the southern end of the South Island. It is sometimes called the adventure capital of New Zealand due to the wide variety of "extreme" tourist attractions found in the area. There are a number of quality climbing area's within an hours drive of the city.
Wye Creek offers interesting sport climbing on compact schist for those willing to hike. The Remarkables are within reach for those looking for multi-pitch alpine adventures. There are also a handful of smaller crags sprinkled around the valley.
Queenstown is located in the southern third of the south island off of the large Lake Wakatipu.

This problem is located in the small cave with the triangular prow at the northen end of the Wave boulder. Sit-start with your left hand on the obvious under-cling and right hand on the big pinch. Set your right foot low in the cave on a good edge and smear your left on the roof of the cave.
