it occurs to me now that the Reservation Road gate is probably closed still. We went in from the horse farm. Eric Heiden

Can't say how the other road is but Round Pond Road is bumpy and muddy but OK. The hike in is still a mix of ice, slush, mud and puddles. Yak trax were helpful.
My friends and I climbed Lower Slabs and Upper Cliff but some other friends passed by on their way to Boulder Natural and they were still there when we left so I'm guessing they were having fun.

My girlfriend and I brought her mom to The dome and climbed there today, which was dry and fun to play around on before heading to the trail-side boulders and boulder natural. Trail side boulders were 90% dry, including overlooked. most of the barnyard boulder was dry, Anything south facing was pretty dry in the Zoo. got on power and grace, edges, and four hole, lobster tail was dry, as well as hobbit direct, although hobbit hole is still a bit seepy.

Top outs were still a bit snowy everywhere.

Was out yesterday, everything in Boulder Natural was wet basically save for the Four Hole wall and a few things here and there, surprised at how much snow there still was. Round Pond is gorgeous and all dried out, Cliff Boulders were great, Fido is dry, lakeside is dry, most things in Devil's Den were dry. Best bet is Round Pond. Ian McAfee

Havent been into Boulder Natural in a week but Blair and Round Pond are snow free except for a light dusting that came in last night that is already off the boulders. The walk down from Horse Farm was mostly dirt/mud, with practically no ice left. The road into Blair is also drivable now, still a muddy patch here and there but its manageable. Alec Woolley

The gates probably wont be opened until the middle/to the end of May... I know the fire rd leading out to Devil's Den in New Durham wont be opened till about that time. You could contact the park manger and ask her when the gates might be opened.

Two of us are coming down from Canada for 9 days. It's our first time to pway and would love to meet up with someone to show us around. We hope to spend a lot of time in Blair Woods, Round Pond, and BN although it sounds like the later is wet??. We drive around in a bright yellow truck so come say hi if you see us!! RyanD

The gates off Reservation road are now open. Round Pond and Tower Pond roads have been repaired in the major areas and are much more passable than last season. As usual for this time of season the bugs are at 5 and are swarming but not biting. That all changes as we know and they will be at BUGCON 10 tomorrow. Enjoy. Jeremy A

Does anybody know if the gates get closed nightly? Thinking about some night bouldering but I've only been to Pway during the day. Just want to make sure that I won't get locked in if I stay too late (via the Reservation Road). Eric Heiden

Gates stay open until the park closes for the season late fall. You'll be fine for some night bouldering. The difference in the amount of bugs will make you only want to night session there for the rest of summer ha. Alec Woolley

Bouldering at night is great out there. Just be aware I did see a bear out by the streambed boulders last week around nightfall. The bear minded his own business but but be careful if there are cubs around! Travis Dustin

Decent size bear, but it minded it own business. If I saw cubs around I would have been nervous. Travis Dustin
